in terms of policitcs, they all lie to you .. that is why I don't like (but we do anyway) to mix between religions and politics.
In Egypt these days there is long long discussions talking about this religion and politics, and how they can reflect to each other.

Mubarak means blessed,
Kareem means generous.
and sometimes when someone says: 'Ramadan Kareem' the other say: 'Allaho Akram' : Allah is more generous.

So basically both can be used commonly, for the Eid it is also common to use "Eid Saeed" means "Happy Eid".

it is good to run out of dubai in Eids, escaped to Mussandam last one I guess, but the boarders were like 1 Km queue...

I don't actually know any charity set up in dubai, but at some malls there is charity cards with amount of money, and they dedicate the amount you paid to the beneficial party having its name on the card you buy.
