Stay in Beirut, work a bit, get 3-4 years experience, maybe in Canada, and come back here.... Then your salary will jump.

Don't know about prices etc - but there were a number of nurseries at the Friday Market on the way to Fujairah - a good selection of plants there. Yeah I was thinking of that place.
