Bringing a car & bikes from the UK?

Hi guys, I need some advice and help please...

Can I bring my car & two bikes over to Dubai and retain my UK plates and if so do I need to pay any tax, etc...?

What is the best option for me to use my vehicles in Dubai?

Thanks for any help...

Recommendations for international removals from the UK?

Hi guys, any recommendations on a removal firm that can deal with all the usual household stuff as well as two motorbikes and possibly a car?

So basically you can't come into the country in a foreign (well European) car?

I'm not sure how long I'll be staying and might only be there for a year or less...

Thanks for that, I rode in India for three years in the chaos that is the roads system there, so I'll hopefully cope with it. In any case it'll be more in leisure time (mostly off road) that I'll use the bikes. I have a BMW GS1200 and a Husqvarna TE610E..pics below: http://www.midnightphotos.co.uk/u...

Been given a quote of approx £3.5k for door to door service, moving contents of a 3 bedroom house + two motorbikes - does this seem about right or too expensive?

No they haven't quoted by kg, using a 20ft container I think and also crating up the two bikes. The car looks like a no go as the rhd will be a problem...I'd like to bring it over thouh.

Keith, going from his original question that's not what his intent is.

Given that Dubai won't let you register a RHD vehicle, I thought I'd ask the question, there might be some way that I can use my vehicle there.

That part I understand, but I really struggle with the logic of retaining your plates for use here. The fact is that I intend to use the car there for a 12...

Latest madness in the UK

Well our Home Secretary this week had a meeting with 'Muslim Community Leaders' to tell them that they should keep an eye on their kids for any suspicious behaviour that might lead to them becoming 'radicalised'. So despite saying that all Muslims in the UK were not being tarred with the Terrorist b...

One thing that most folk seem to be missing is that the US & UK went in on a supposed high moral ground to stop the torture and killings, yet have proven themselves to be just as bad, if not worse.

No it's not as simple as that, you have the larger community already suspicious of the Muslims and this is making it even worse.

I never said anything in my posts about those countries doing the Iraqis or the world a favour by ousting Saddam. That is your assumption. No you implicitly implied it by saying the following: Maybe they should let Saddam loose and set him back up to rule again. If the Iraqi's don't like the coalit...
