Salary for advertising creative

I'm an advertising copywriter with more than 10 years of experience and many international awards. To all the expats in advertising: how much can someone fetch with my kind experience and credentials. I'm looking at over 20k + housing + benefits. (Quite frankly, in advertising as a creative it doesn...

Thanks, guys. Scarlet, yeah I spotted the 'typo' :). It was a slip of the key. Which is the best agency to work for, in terms of bosses, awards, money? Who can I contact at Impact - is it Peter? Also, what are the kind of benefits commonly provided?

Thanks again. Cheers.

Thanks, DeeDee. I'm not there yet. How's it working in Dubai agencies versus the ones in your home country? The hours? The environment? You a writer too? Cheers.

Thanks, Dee. I guess the business is the same everywhere. Do you like it there, apart from making a lot of money, do you have other motivators? or would you go back to Oz if you got a chance? I'm just asking as I want to be sure I'm making the right move. I'm in South-east Asia and love it here but ...

Racism - how do you deal with it?

I'm contemplating a move to Dubai and I've heard/ read a lot about the way South-east Asians and Asians are 'preceived' in this land of opportunities. Though most of the other things I've read in this forum are good about the city, the racism part makes my blood boil. I'm usually a very calm person ...

Good to know that! I have been talking to some agencies there and have an offer or two. They just seem to be in such a hurry to hire and I have to decide really quick, so no time to come and check out Dubai. But if I do come for a few days , it will be very soon i think. Will let you know. We're a y...

I'm actually in the same scenenario. And getting contradicting opinions. Some people I spoke to living there think it's a decent offer, in fact quite good. While people here think otherwise. Just curious: How much do you guys make, in what region? Do you have families and kids with you?
Thanks.

Thanks, GT. After reading the responses here, it seems to me that people go to Dubai if/when they are not happy in their current country/city, no competitive jobs there, very little money (not that it seems you can save a lot in Dubai these days), or you're desperate to get out of a place. Please co...

The way I live currently is this: I live in a 3-bed apartment about 1650sf ft (they are much cheaper here), drive a second-hand wagon, watch my expenses but still manage to go out drinking once in fifteen days, shop for stuff during sales, eat at not-so-expensive restaurants and go on a holiday with...
