Did anyone ever find the job they were looking for by posting their resume on this forum?

Some questions on salary and housing

1. What purpose does it serve when the total compensation package is divided into basic salary, housing allowance and transportation allowance? I assume I can divide the total package the way I want to, regardless of the division the company made? 2. What is the best place to live when you work in D...

4. What does it mean when you sign an offer letter for a probation period? Is it possible to renegotiate the conditions after this period and before signing an actual contract?

Well, that's even more depressing.

So the options are...?

Sharjah: also too much time on the road

International city: smelly

Did I forget anything?

Running out of options.

But I found some ads for new studio's in Discovery Gardens, 70,000 p.a.

Sounds good to me but I might be missing something. Any advice on that?

From Sharjah to Dubai

Don't laugh...

How early should you get up to avoid getting stuck in traffic from Sharjah to Dubai?

Probation period of six months.

I received a job offer, it mentions the folowing:

You will be under a probation period of six months effective the date you join

Does this mean that I can quit the contract the first six months without any consequences? Or does this not benefit me, but only benefits the company?

Convert visit visa into work visa?

Is this a possibility? If not, do you have to go back to your home country and then return to the UAE on work visa, or can you just go to Oman and back?

Women and sponsorship of children

I read somewhere that the mom can't sponsor her child, unless she is divorced or widowed, or works as a teacher or nurse.

But can a woman (who works in Dubai) sponsor her children, if she was never married to the father?
