To answer ur qestion jeevan, just looking to share my experiences (which have been good, limitied but good so far) with others gong through the same crap in life living away from friends and family

This is something very wierd in Dubai. If you put ur mobile no on business cards than u are working 24*7, people can call u at all times of the day and night. Am I the only one that is troubled by this?

How can people locate u without street names and numbers? I have had so many people tell me stuff like the building next to etisalat or across the street from this restaurant or other? The traffic problem in dubai is probably because people are driving around trying to find different locations.

Ok so I need to get two SIM cards one for business and one for personal use.

Does any one know where to get a post paid DU Sim card? I went to their website and apparently online ordering is over.

It depends on the job you are applying for. Say for instance, you do not have a degree and they job that you apply for is Credit Manager at a bank it will most likely be rejected. On the other hand if you are applying for a sales related job and don't have a degree it should be ok.

There are a lot of rumours going around that Dubai and quite possibly the UAE are to introduce a VAT in the early part of next year-possibly as early as Jan 1. Anyone else hear anything about this... The esitmates range anywhere from 8-15 percent. I dont see how they can only introduce this in Dubai...
