I forgot about that, Nakheel's 'The Gardens' and Emaar's 'The Lakes' are probably the best quality developments they have completed so far. Incidentally, they are rental-only. The other freehold developments they've produced are poor in quality.

We don't have the full story, but it sounds very exaggerated anyway.

It's ruled largely by influence. The laws don't matter, depending on who you know.

Come to Dubai for 2-3 years max, then leave, otherwise you will lose your senses! That is assuming your rent hasn't doubled by then of course.

The norm for me is a week, has taken 3-4 weeks sometimes, and a few times it gets lost somewhere in postland! I just fedex anything that I can't afford to lose.
