I have a Nokia E65. I love it. I used to be a Sony Ericsson fan myself, but decided I needed something a little more swankier and this is really nice. The back cover thingy is leather, so you'll never chip it! Good batteries, decent camera, bluetooth etc, its fab. You can sync it up with your email ...

There's a good interactive street map here: http://www.dubaitourism.ae/Map/default.asp I live in the Marina too (work in Deira though sometimes I wished I worked at DMC/DIC cos its soooo close!) Hey, Im in advertising..you'll most likely get that as a CD or senior AD at a major global agency (Saatchi, BBDO etc), but more so 20K as a total package, not 20K + benefits. All the global agencies are here...check out all the company websites and send in your CV.

I'm female and work full time. To be honest, its just like any other city... Working hours are a little longer (average around 9 hours a day), but really depends on your company. Offices are fairly conservative, but really its like working in any city. Out and about, if you are on your own, play it ...

Not sure who the contact at BBDO is. But the global ones are the same as anywhere else in the world to be honest. Usual benefits is your visa sponsorship, annual return flight back to your home country, medical insurance, indemnity. You may also get a relocation allowance, if you're not already here.

Well, we did the drive, but god wouldn't do it again. So bloody boring and lots of useless drivers out there. The road is ok though and its an easy drive. Nearly ran over some camels! There are 2 border crossings - leaving UAE (after Hatta) and then you drive for a bit, then enter Oman. Leaving UAE ...

Craigo are you after 2nd hand or brand new? Second hand at 100K can get you maybe a pajero, grand cherokee, landcruiser, landrovers about 2-5 years old. Brand new you would be looking at the SWB pajero or Prado. Full size Prado's & Pajero's are around 140k. I would say they are the best for 4WD,...

hcaleman, Al Mina Rd is right in Bur Dubai - heaps of shops/restaurants around here. You can probably find some decent apartments near here. Another option is to live on Sheikh Zayed Rd or around the Burj Residences/Old Town as this is also really convenient. You can try a bit farther out to towards...

Hmmm...dont know why you all say online advertising is dead. Its growing! I used to manage an online marketing company here, and we were definitely growing. What you don't understand is that agencies here don't just service the UAE. This is a tiny market compared to KSA, Levant, Egypt etc. Most Duba...

Mfg_Engr, I work at emirates..what grade is your position? I think thats an alright salary for a single guy, fresh out of college. Will you be based at the Airport?
