Val I suggest a search within the forum (and see above). Loads of previous suggestions. In summary I would say that an average apartment/car is comparable to any large (first world) city around the world (on average). Of course it depends on what you are looking for. I suppose you could share "...
I wonder whether the reclycling centers above mentioned will have a reaction to recycling beer cans and wine or hard liquor bottles. Could be interesting.
What I find curious is: over 100 posts on the topic (albeit many repeat posters) but NOT ONE appears to be by a Woman Happy to Cover Up. All posts appear to be men justifying it (on religious grounds or otherwise) and woman (who do not cover up) against in (on right-to-choose grounds or otherwise). ...
A thought, I am not familiar with how Canada is subdivided (politically) but I imagine that there is an official database/website (provincial, state, etc.) on which "Death Certificates" are filed. If someone knows his real name and the province, county, state whatever then you could go int...
Hatta Fort Hotel is nice for a weekend break, but probably don't advise the trip around the old fort in the summer even thought the rooms are airconditioned, the walk between them can be uncomfortable. If you have a 4x4 its only a short hop up the track to Hatta Pools and they tend to have water in...
From Arnie's post it may be worth looking up University/college news in the Toronto Area. If someone knows the names of these then there may be some information - a student's death (if so) often will make the school paper specially around graduation - late April/Mid May.
Arnie, I just pmed you with info about a Daniel M. at the university of Toronto (Grad Student Mathematics) the info has a telephone number which for obvious reasons sent on the pm (site actually)
Another thought, I presume he had some connection to Dubai. Perhaps he visited or lived here. Is there a way to check with Dubai Immigration records? or Canadian Embassy? At that age and as a student if he lived in Dubai he probably shared a room with someone or more. Anyone had a young roomate from...
DK, agree 100% and have no doubt that there already exists a great deal of tolerance even here. Of course event places like London, New York, Sydney, Paris, etc. have intolerant people - luckily for al these are increasingly a marginalized minority. Tolerance is, as it should, spreading worldwide mo...
It means NOB in Mongolian. NOYB in english are the first three letters of an often use response to probing questions. come to think of it now, I should have used that one instead but Mongolian won out!
( apparently I can't reveal his name) . I dont have his cell but Mike says he tried to reach him and left msgs. Snipes was net freak and to stay away for more than a week is just not him. Hashman, Couple of things: You can't reveal whose name? Sniper or Mike's? Because I would think if you can't re...
As mentioned in the Gulf News today: A man and a woman who physically assaulted each other will spend a month in jail and will jointly pay a total of Dh11,200 in fines, a court has ruled. Should be a worldwide rule - except the man should get a year in jail to allow the woman to move out. Unless pr...
Actually they both needed better lawyers as the argument to the Judge should have been that there should be no jail time at all at least as to one of them (the one with the better lawyer) and should have been released on "time already served" (i.e. as long as the marriage).
I would say that just by simply finding the forum and asking the questions you may have brains to get a better offer than 8K per month - forget saving on tranportation you will need a car -unless the job and accomodations are in the same place. Don't be fooled, hotel workers with accomodation do not...
Thinking of a short stay trip to Istanbul (from Dubai); anyone from there/been there? What are the good things to do there (specifically). Any insight will be appreciated.
