Good Post, Concord!!!! Bullfrog's were born in TEXAS!!!! And they are damned good! I don't believe it Texas and Vodka don't go together. They just discovered beer down there. After centuries of "moonshine" (cornwhiskey). Now the "Bull" part after George Bush - I believe. But Bul...

Recommended Restaurants in Dubai by DF Members

Most of us read a guide or two or three before arriving in Dubai. Each with a list of restaurants (written by 25 year olds or people without real jobs - believe you me I have friends who write for Fodors, lonely planet and Fromers - 4 different people - so I know). I think it would be a good idea fo...

Recommended Restaurants by DF Members Outside Dubai.

Same concept as "restaurants in Dubai" but for a wider wordl. I know Dubai is the "center of the universe" but.... What say you. I just had a great barbecue meal at a restaurant in NYC the place is called "RUB" on 23rd street between 7th and eight avenue. Most people ra...

sucks to be up for over 48 hours.

Crap, been up for over 48 hours and can't sleep but tired (and not because of work) so I decided to post a bunch of nonsense.

I think Bushra21 could make fun of it and it would be justified - or she would feel "solidarity" and remain silent.

My advise: leave them behind with relatives and adopt a dog or two when you get here. See the post on "general forum".

Just kidding, pets are not a problem in dubai. I know someone who brought 4 cats from Manchester. I am sure the cat lovers in the forum will give you the scoop.

Take like a hundred songs or more and shove it in ur mp3 player. And try slow music and the fast pumpin music in this order. When going...

Re: Blood money ?

Can someone explain to us, what is exactly 'blood money' ? Is it really part of Islamic law, shariah, hadits, etc ? It means: get a life insurance policy. Because "blood money" means that if you are unintentionally killed (say in a car accident or thru other type of negligence) the guilty...

Thanks Concord. How hot is it early in the morning for a stroll...or am I in denial? That's the thing it is hot morning, day, and night. Of course it would be hotter in the midday but hot in the evening and morning. Sun is up really early in summer (as it should). I would say it can be close to 90 ...
