I cant honestly say if they are treated well or not since i dont know of any deaf person here. But you can be happy to know that just last week a law has been passed to ensure equal opportunity to people with disabilities. Just a hunch i dont think you will have any different of an experience from ...

Poppy,

Did you go to SG? tell us about it.

I'll have 2 "free" days there middle of October - staying at Grand Copthorne Waterfront. Suggestions?

Shaf,

I still don't believe the story about 8 relatives dying on 9/11. Whether or not she or thousands of other convert to Islam or vice versa is a different matter and I have no reason not to believe that part (she lives in a free country after all).

Ramadan Tents?

Can someone(s) explain the "Ramadan Tent". What happens in there? Who can go in? etc.

p.s. for the wiseguys: I know what a "tent" is

Here is a suggestion: why don't you tells us where you would like to go and then those familiar with the place could tell you whether they think it is a good idea for you to travel "solo".

The only place I wouldn't recommend you travel solo is Bahdad at the moment!

wot about those tents on the side of jumeriah road? You will also find a lot of tents set up in order to give food out to people of lower income at iftar. the Ramadan tents you see around town are an "open invitation" to anyone who would like to attend. as sage says they are normally set ...

Ramadan "Test Run"

As I stated before, I will be "giving it a try" at fasting during Ramadan. I gave it a "test run" today, no coffee, no food after sunrise. I was famined by 10 am with a headache the size of hot air ballon. Any tips? P.S. Please don't post stupid stuff about "insulting/disres...

Probably totally off topic but where have you been. It's all been left to poor Kanelli (in the forum) to deal with the nonsense. I've been working like a donkey (or acting like one if you ask around). Good to see you are back to inject some "sense".
