I think you still have to have the blood test, but I'm sure they'll be understanding about the x-ray, they're just checking your chest is clear on infections that's all.

The things they're looking for in the blood test is HIV/AIDS, Herpatitis and drug screening.

Personally better to always usem USD, the exchange rate is always 3.65 Dhs to the Dollar.

Some of the shops get a little flustered if you're using dollars, always better to use the currency of the country you're staying in. In this case Dirhams.

15K is a pretty good salary. But you'll have to bare in mind that many sales positions here in all industries are taken up by Indians, Pakistanis or Aisian, who work for very little money.

Hey,

Instead of locking all the hot topics, for getting well a bit hot, can't we just move them to Fightclub?

Just a thought.

Cool winds? Man the wind is soooo warm, it's horrid! There's a very good reason why many people disappear for 8 weeks during the summer. Oh the thing I really hate, although it's hot outside, resturaunts seem to have this annoying habit of blasting the AC, so you need a jumper just to sit inside! It...

Without supplied accomodation, not really I think you would struggle alot. Bearing in mind even studio flats costs a bomb. Even sharing could cost you around 2,000Dhs a month.

That's the first thing that came to my mind, that it's not the passengers that smell, but the drivers.

That's the one, I couldn't remember what it was actually for. Yeah but if you're pregnant you can't do x-rays, so I guess they'll have to forgo it until after the birth, there must be some sort of leeway for this.

Ai! It happens all the time here, no big deal. Another guy put a similar ad and requested everyone to declare their religion, there's no difference, and he didn't get flamed - hhhmmmm.

Anyway those Golden Sand apartments are massive.

Good luck Grace.

Er that'll be Eitsalat, but sadly we don't have a choice! Oh and before someone mentions the NEW phone company - NEW my B*tt! Well HP, I'm sorry but I found the protesters dressed as suicide bombers in London damn offensive! And the things they had written on placards were inciting violence and hatred. And did any of these people get arrest for disturbing the peace or for incitement? Hell NO! Please don't lump Nazi support...

No it's not! You have to apply for the International driving licence. If you've learnt to drive in the UAE you cannot use that licence in the UK as you drive on opposite sides of the road and the standard of driving is nowhere near the UK standard. If you hold a UK driving licence, you can just exch...

I never said that! I said I'm agnostic, which means I sit on the fence until someone can prove either way whether god exists or not.

I'm more of a spiritual person, than a religious one. You can certainly believe in god and not belong to any religion.

HP, once again you miss the point. No it's not acceptable to kill innocent people, just because you're pissed off! No-one should ever condone the killing of innocents. And stop yapping on about Iraq, it's irrelevent. Plus you didn't see Americans openly murdering Muslims on the streets after 9/11 di...

Well now Poland and New Zealand have published them too. Are they going to take on the entire world? The whole thing is ridiculous! But that's the thing! Sometimes you have to turn the other cheek and ignore it! Otherwise it'll just go on and on. It takes a greater man to ignore jibes and insults than a reactionary one. Don't you see they're just winding everyone up.

Sometimes the better thing to do is to just walk away.

It's a saying Liban - wow take a chill pill! The way I look at it, religion is a pain and only causes problems, look at what's going on now. I'm not getting into this argument, I'm entitled to believe what ever I want or not as the case maybe, just as you all are. You've twisted what I said totally.

Arnie, Ok they changed it then. Although, I'm sitting here with the International Driving Licence in my hand and the UK is listed as one of the countries that accepts it. That's a really messy way to do it and really not worth the effort. Better off to rent a car until your visa is sorted. I'll assume you'll be taking a car loan to buy your car, in which case you require salary certificates from your company to secure the loan and in many cases you must show them 3 m...
