Hehehe yeah it was kinda funny.

Yes the original thread was about armageddon, amazing how thoughts change from one to another isn't it.

Fine if that's your point of view and if you want to smoke, but as a non-smoker why should I have to inhale your fumes? And become sick myself in the process! Smoking is a personal choice, you're taking away my right to breathe clean air by smoking around me and you certainly shouldn't do it around ...

The way which many of them look down on other people, of any origin!

I'm not saying that all Arab muslims are totally ignorant of other people, but many have a righteous attitude in theat they consider themselves above other people. Certainly gets on my nerves.

If there's added service charge I won't tip extra, I hate having that included particularly if the service is no good. I'll tip if the service, food etc etc is good and worth a tip, but you have to make sure the persona actually gets the tip, as many times it all goes into a kitty and they don't get...

Everyone is entitled to have fun. Pigs are great creatures and they only eat meat and other horrible things because that's what man has fed them in capitivity and it's now a banned practice the world over. Dogs are also great, they are not dirty and just as horses will go nose to nose and breathe in...

Hey, I used to have a friend that had a pot bellied pig as a pet, it was great fun, they're really cute. And my friend did you know that pigs have a greater sense of smell than dogs? That's why the french use them for sniffing out truffles, and certain organisations are now training the porkers to s...

The difference is with lease hold, you might own the bricks and mortar, but not the land the property is built on! So if whoever owns the land decides they want to knock down the property of building and just give you what you paid for the apartment/villa you're a bit screwed.

Making love to the special person in your life is the most fantastic thing. Like I said before, not everyone believes you have to have a piece of paper saying you 'belong' to someone else to have a committed relationship, it's personal choice. Plus the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians were big fans of o...

Plus my grandfather used to run a pig farm so don't lecture me on that! I like them, I've seen them not in farms - so there! :tongue1: Some people think eggs cured in wee is a delicacy, does that make them disgusting too! Some people drink wee to cleanse their own bodies, I suppose they are gross to...

Live 8

Didn't quite know where to put this!

But what a great show an amazing feat to have all those acts in all those countries taking part.

Lets hope the world leaders take note.

Shame MBC4 trashed it with pathetic adverts - thanks!

The West is not to blame for everything, what have you ever done to make a difference. Grow up and start looking at the world aroun...

I've worked with or had different animals all my life, and I can truthfully say that some people are below animals. I have nothing but absolute disgust and contempt for 'human beings' who will cause harm to innocent creatures. But I'm thankful they're lots of people like me who'll do the right thing...

Er and why should the woman always be the lower ranking one at work?! I hope you end up with a female manager that's a total princess! That's an incredibly sexist remark! Here's a point for you!

How come it's fine for Muslim men to have upto 4 wives? That for me goes against the sanctity of marriage and is hardly monogamous is it?

Why shouldn't a woman have 4 husbands?

Still doesn't really answer the question, you kinda side stepped it. For a man to have 4 wives, just means he can still get in on with more than one woman and it's acceptable. To love and cherish just one person, is far harder, shows much more commitment, both emotionally and physically. Men should ...

Dude,

No the Dubai transport taxis don't start the meters at that, it's the usual 3 or 4 dirhams, that's what it was when I came back last week!

Plus made it from hitting the tarmac to outside in under 30 minutes, you just have to know where to go.

To answer your questions: Crime: Crime happens wherever you are in the world, Dubai is far safer than many many places, things do happen it's just that it doesn't really get reported that much, but for the most part it's fine. Law: Yes Dubai comes under Islamic law, it's a muslim country, but author...

Don't know anyone that's a member of the country club.

Might be better to check out some of the hotel facilities once you get here and join one of those as they have activities and facilities for families.
