Re: Worse meal...

Yes, but it's just so awful to see a family sitting there stuffing themselves silly, while the maid sits there with nothing.

Re: MOL tells Sharjah taxi drivers 'If you don't like it lea

Well what the hell is the point Bora? Seriously I'd like one of you flippin' idiots to enlighten me as to why you all feel it necessary to derail every single thread on the forum? It has nothing to do with moderation, it has to do with simply contributing or not! The majority of you clearly have not...

Re: Enough already!...

I agree that the term Hero should be reserved for those who truly deserve it. Soldiers are doing their 'job', but it would be those that go above and beyond in extreme circumstances who would be classed as a hero. One example I can think of, is the helicopter pilot who went in to airlift out some tr...

Re: MOL tells Sharjah taxi drivers 'If you don't like it lea

You missed the point! My question was why do YOU do it in the first place? Why comment something if you truly have nothing to say on the topic, other than to crack some silly remark? That's the point I'm trying to make. Sure not everyone finds all the threads interesting but it doesn't give you the ...

It's Thursday - hoorah the weekend is here. It has to be 5pm somewhere in the world so I can crack open the vino, or a beer and whatever is in the cupboard.

Re: Is it beer o'clock yet?

Indeed, although I'm only allowed to smell the beer just now due to stupid medications - ho hum.

Also DDS, have a drink, does not mean that a person has to keep on drinking until they are smashed. Just one or two will do to relax.

Re: Enough already!...

There are quite a few soldiers that have lost limbs in these battles. They have patched themselves up, got false limbs and headed back out onto the front line, even though they don't have to. That's real guts and fighting for what you believe in. My OH is a career soldier, he admits he can't do anyt...

Re: Enough already!...

Actually DDS, you have to understand the motivation behind the decision these guys make in their military 'careers'. Working in their home countries they get paid a pathetic wage, fighting in war zones a bit better but still rubbish money for putting their lives on the line everyday. Most of these g...

Re: Arabian Oud

Personally I can't stand the stuff. It's too strong, the smell is actually quite offensive to me. But hey thankfully the trees is made from are endangered so maybe they'll be extinct in the not too distant future :?

Re: Wearing a dishdasha

I don't think people particularly mind, after all it isn't religious dress, it's traditional/cultural to the region and was worn because of the climate.

Re: Xmas present

No NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Those sort of heels are for strippers and pole dancers!

When girls say they want 'heel's', it usually means a 'classy' pair of Jimmy Choos or Monolos or the like. Think Carrie from S.e.x and the City - NOT Linda Lovelace!

Re: Deportation.

Yup get rid of them all!

And so what if they're in danger of going to their home country? Like Prince Saud, just convicted of murder, now we have to pay to keep him in the clink and he'll seek asylum once he's done his time for fear of the death penalty in Saudi! I say send him to chop chop square.

Re: Rank these airlines

FYI, it's Etihad!

And the standard cost of a taxi from AD to DXB is 200 Dhs.

I meant from AD proper, and that's the price they'll quote you.

I usually use Emirates because their flight times are generally better. I am biased though as I get free tickets lol

Re: How much you know about Cannabis?

Re: Rank these airlines

NO actually! (I love the way everyone automatically ASSUMES all airline workers are pilots - er scheduling, ops, ATC, engineering etc etc all count too) Crew scheduling manager and even though he's retired I still get 5 tickets a year - nah nah nah. Plus I am the 'voice' of Emirates AVR system for c...

Re: Rank these airlines

Well nothing to do with Etihad, but apparently Abu Dhabi did inject some cash into Emirates following the financial crash - AD owns most of DXB these days.

It's all airline politics. DXB wanted to buy into Air Arabia, Sharjah said 'no way dude, take a hike', so DXB started Fly Dubai as competition.

BM, you like to assume an awful lot about people!

I do talk from experience and the experiences of friends of mine. One the trust has gone, it's very very hard to get it back. There are reasons why men or women cheat. Some people just aren't meant to be in monogamous relationships.
