Re: A question for Arniegang?

well if I recall BM, the post of yours which I replied to had already taken the post off topic in the first place, so no discussion on that front really.

You just need to reel it in a bit and stop baiting people and having a go at others.

It really is beyond tiresome.

Re: UK students protest university fees

Well I think this basically means that higher education will only be available to the well off, who can afford it and the poor, who will get grants etc. Means there will be a huge divide as once again, the middle classes are the ones losing out. The average student, having completed a 3 or 4 years d...

I have the right to reply to the original query Mel, therefore I will. But I shall not be entertaining anymore silliness from certain people.

Re: UK students protest university fees

No one suggesting higher education should be FREE! That's not what people are complaining about, but the huge INCREASE in fees to approx 9,000 pounds year.

Re: A question for Arniegang?

Werll one minor indescretion doesn't negate the fact that you dear BM have taen numerosu threads off topic, ina bid to cause fights and what not with other members. You might well have had messages of support, but quite frankly the mods have also had numerous complaints about you and the other culpr...

Re: Are "we" taking ourselves too seriously...

Probably about right kanelli, although I must say I don't like rules much, it reminds me of being at school. This is only an internet forum and I'm a firm believer in being allowed to say what you what and when. People don't have to read posts they don't want to. Let's face it, it would be a very d...

Re: Are "we" taking ourselves too seriously...

I'm just saying that people seem to forget that although the forum seems pretty open, because of it's nature it is still governed by the part of the world we live in. Therefore members, mods and owners would probably appreciate posters not doing anythign which could get the site blocked or even shut...

Re: Are "we" taking ourselves too seriously...

Having an opinion and 'bashing' something using vulgar language and derogatory terms are two different things.

Just saying that many people seem to forget where they are living.

Re: Are "we" Taking Ourselves Too Seriously...

And my point is that "Dubai is ooovvveerrrr" can easily be interpreted as vulgar and derogatory. Hardly. Sadly it's a common truth and most people know it. What would you prefer, Dubai has had its day? Gone are the golden days of Dubai - no real way to make it pretty Dillon. But again tha...

Re: Are "we" taking ourselves too seriously...

Why is this thread even still going? The points really have been exhausted, it'll just go round and round. Different people will always have different interpretations over what 'baiting', 'humour' etc is. Just be more mindful BEFORE you hit the 'post' button is all I will say. Now really isn't it ti...

Re: Debt help again!

Oh yes the banks certainly can make life very difficult for you! Even if you tried to run, with that amount of debt, they pass it onto international debt collectors, who by hook or by crook will track you down! Being blacklisted means the minute you'd try to leave the country, they'd pick you up at ...

Re: How to cancel VISA after leaving UAE

Pick up the phone and call them! But if you failed to cancel your visa it does naturally expire, but if you tried to come back there would be fines to pay.

Re: Driving Styles

Man driving with mobile in left had held to RIGHT ear. Wondering: wouldn't it be easier just to put it to your left ear. He probably needs his right hand free for shifting. Re: EID MUBARAK

Well it wasn't so much Happy flippin' Eid this morning, as all the lanes were blocked to where I needed to go by people just getting out and leaving them all over the place to go and pray.

Another excuse to be void of all common sense and consideration for others I'm afraid!
