I wouldn't bother buying property here, to many unknowns and no security, resale values etc.

Just get a pay as you go SIM card, most people have that here. I've never found a benefit to having a contract phone in the UAE, plus they ask for 2,000Dhs deposit to set up international roaming - what a rip off!

You obviosuly missed the fuss that was in ALL media around the world recently condeming the barbaric Chinese fur trade! PLus the thread I posted on it, showing the CHinese skinning cats, dogs and racoons alive. Anyway so long as it doesn't have fur on it, then that's fine, there are some good bargins.
