Geez, where have I been stereotypical?! You were the one going on about western stereotypes, I haven't branded anyone as anything. I just don't find them attractive, end of. What's your problem with that?

No, the black box is only used if an aircraft crashes. It records all the flight data and communications from the aircraft, to air traffic control and other aircraft. In this case, it was obvious where the fault was and was dealt with.
