Why would I want to switch off my lights. I like my lights, so much so that some of them are on 24/7 ;) Idiot! Sounds like the national living opposite me, around twenty very bright wall lights plus four glaring spots on every night for 12 hours....it's like sleeping in Santa's grotto. When they're...

An NOC is basically a letter of no objection, for example if you are moving from one company to another, the company you're leaving from has to write an NOC for you to join the new one.

Coldplay were amazing

Coldplay were absolutely incredible last night!

The wind, the rain, the thunder and lightning didn't bother the crowd one bit and Chris Martin was constantly joking and adlibbing lyrics about it all.

Definately one of the best concerts I've ever seen!

Well it would obviously have to say something like:

We have no objection to the above mentioned person transfering to another company for employment within the UAE.

Never seen what they all say as they're normally in arabic.

I have changed job several times in the UAE, never told the banks anything, so long as they keep getting their payments, why should they be any wiser?

First off the British Embassy will not involve itself in personal cases, in fact they rarely get involved in anything at all. Secondly this guy is absolute scum! How can anyone do that to their children? He's not looking out for himself, he's being a selfish bastard and sadly under UAE law, fathers ...

So many people here have been laid off, that the few companies that are taking on are likely to hire locally rather than look abroad for new employees, as so many people will want to stay. My friend works in rectruitment and says it's a complete disaster at the moment. It's an employers market, they...

Not necessarily, as NOC's for visas and employement have to be signed and agreed by CEO's normally, others don't, just the heads of finance.

RB, you don't know what you're talking about!

A friend of mine was arrested for something he didn't do, did the whole court and spent some time in the slammer thing. The Embassy flat out said that they do not get involved.

Cases like this are a complete and utter waste of time and money. And the suffering these poors children must be going through is horrific! So people make mistakes, who is innocent 100% of the time. But the things the husband has done, even asking for compensation is ridiculous. He is an evil, evil ...

erm it's actually your spelling that is quite horrific! And if you think that writing and communicating properly is 'boring' then your attitude has alot to be desired. It's not being stiff at all! I fail to understand why people who can write perfectly good English, insist on bastardising it so much!

Plus it has nothing to do with age or ways of thinking, it's about doing something properly.

If you constantly write like that, it will progress into your everyday work. Do you think people would like to employ or look at cv's, work, dissertations etc from someone who works like that? Not really!
