But be careful and take someone that knows about cars, there are some very good dealers, but there are also some real cowboys who need to be avoided.

The cutting and posting is getting kinda boring - no birthday present for you matey! But it's my birthday and I'll damn well party if I want to, worship my parents 'everyday' etc etc. What a load of steaming camel poo.

I don't get it! 'Parking sensors'? Can't people just learn to park using their spacial awareness, or have people just become too lazy and rubbish at parking. Wait what am I saying, most of the people I see on the roads here can't even reverse parallel park.

With villas you don't normally have a problem.

We never bothered to ask our landlord about pets and they've never said anything.

I apartment buildings though, they normally have signs up saying that pets are not allowed unless you get written permission rom the landlord before hand.

saw that on the news this morning - one amazing pilot, this would have been all over if it wasnt for him Haha, It appears the co-pilot was flying, 24y/f. Doesn't really matter, the Captain and Co-pilot take it in turns to man the controls in different shifts. Just like it was the copilot at the con...

They were discussing it on the radio this morning, and some complete knob says "This climate is not condusive to self serve" - er what a bout the poor guys standing outside all day, and it would only take you a couple of mins to fill your own car.

Plugins selling returned second hand goods as new

Beware! My friend recently bought a laptop from Plug Ins, all packaged as new, but when she got it home and started it up, it already had a user id, passwords and added software. Obviously it had been previously sold, returned and the store tried to pass it off as new. She took it back and kicked up...

Fair enough. But IMHO if you're any kind of decent driver, you should be able to get into any vehicle and drive it, park it etc. I'm against all these gadgets which take the 'skill' of driving away.

I'm going to back Ian up on the hazard light issue, and that if you DON'T HAVE FOG LIGHTS ON YOUR CAR!!!!! Better use something that will allow you to be seen, than nothing at all. There are no fog lights on my car at all!!! I'm not surprised at the accident and quite frankly have no sympathy for th...

Bonk, you have to realise that many of these heavy vehicles, hardly have any lights that work at all - let alone fog or hazard lights, many of them are dark in colour and you literally will not see them until they're right in front of your bonnet - no matter how slow you're going. These guys are a s...

Well to break it down into basics. If you do not have fog lights, which are high intensity lights, your hazard lights are of a higher intensity than your normal low beam headlights and rear lights. Using your high beam is just stupid, as basically all you do is light up a wall of white, you should n...

I would agree with you if, IF every car here had fog lights on them. However they don't, that's a plain and clear fact. Simple point is I'd rather be seen, than not. And until they come up with 'add on' fog lights, that's the way it's got to be. In any other situation, I agree that hazard lights are...

Still you seem to have avoided my question! I DON'T HAVE FOG LIGHTS!!! So what should I use instead? I know for a FACT that you can see hazard lights from a greater distance than the standard front and rear lights. And the comment about the police being stricter about the use of hazard lights, is ju...

Er John Smith, it's a FACT because I use my own eyes and in fog I can see someone's hazard lights before I can see their tail lights - simple as. It's not brain surgery. It doesn't matter the fact that you have the same voltage in both sets of lights, orange is a brighter colour and therefore penetr...

Bans are not automatic anymor from the Ministry of Labour, they are implemented at a company's discretion, this was changed a while ago. Simply ask them why they are banning you, and will they not give you and NOC or even transfer your visa to the new company. If you are not going to a direct compet...

The Governments of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, didn't officially announce it! In fact in a recent article, they said they would not be taking part as 'they weren't ready'!

What kind of lame excuse is this?

They have to give you a valid reason for not giving an NOC in that case.

Talk to someone at the Ministry of Labour, as they can very often just overturn a ban if they feel it is unnecessary.

Well that's cool, that individual companies have agreed to take part. Just a shame that the Municipalities aren't doing something on a large scale, like turn all the lights off on the Burj etc.

And yes generally speaking it's lights and tv's.
