Actually I've heard this many before too. You also shouldn't put plastic bottles of water in the freezer, to make it cold, then drink from it, for similar reasons.

I might not like someone, but I certainly would never threaten to murder someone, and if you're a citizen of a country and threatening the life of their leader or monarch, it's grounds for treason - obviously! ...

However the reality of that situation would be the, the passenger would freak out, cause mass panic onboard the aircraft. And you'd be arrested on landing for pretending to have a bomb.

Ok, folks today is the day you should be resisting lighting up those cancer sticks, as it's World No Tobacco Day today.

Give it a go, as you'll soon have to quit smoking in public places by the end of the year as the no smoking bans are implemented across Dubai.

And thank goodness for it!

As of today, smoking inside all Government buildings will be banned. And from September 15th (I think), smoking inside all shopping malls, resturants etc will also be banned. Outlets will have to provide proper smoking areas, and they're going to implement fines for people who violate the new bans. ...
