It's all over the news today. The thieves have been caught and all the jewellery recovered. The culprits were Eastern European - no surprise there.

It's till not the point though is it. You can go round and round. I just would have handled it differently, that's all. You have to think of the bigger picture sometimes. And not all people are cheap, they just know what they like, that's all.

It's just normal practice here for people to do that. Plus many people are on the road alot so the office number is pretty useless.

Many people have two phones, one for business and one for personal use.

Just out of interest BD, which country do you have a licence from to convert to UAE and where is your passport from. You could always take the decision to try and talk to the traffic captain, to see if he would authorise a direct transfer - it's been known to happen.

Sadly and hate to say it but in many companies here it won't matter where you've been educated your still Pakistani/Indian and that will be that.

It shouldn't be that way, but in many cases it is.

After your visa is cancelled, you have 30 days grace period to either transfer it to another company or leave the country. You could then just do a visa run to Doha or something and come back in on a visit visa anyway.

Not necessarily, you can do live stgreaming radio. But again, for playing music there are copyright regulations and I'm not totally clued up on that at the moment.

I'm on my fathers visa, and it's no problem. You need a no objection letter from the sponsor i.e. my father and a temporary labour card - no big deal.

Yes I did everything myself. The airlines will insist that someone is either on the flight with the animals, or at the receiving end to meet them.

A good source of info for getting things done this end is Dubai Kennels and Cattery. Google them, they're very helpful.
