To be honest, I've never come across any good recruitment agency that would charge a job seeker for going on their books. Normally they get you in for an interview go through your skills and qualifications and if they're satisfied they'll put you on the books either for temping or permanent position...

Hey Stainless, Going back to something I posted earlier in this thread, which people obviously missed. Bill Clinton DID have in place an emergency fund and emergency evacuation procedures for disasters such as this, but Bush scrapped it all. So that's really where the buck stops. Also I really with ...

Oh grat so now the fact that you're married is going to be a real incentive! What about your wife, why don't you take HER out? I really hope you're not one of those blokes that insists on going out and partying and leaving the other half at home. And I'm sure she'd be real happy about you hanging ou...

You can! BUT there's still much red tape to work through, you still have to get a letter of No Objection Certificate from the company you're leaving, but if you're going to work for a competitor they might not give it to you.

A ban does not now automatically get put on you.

Most of the DJ's I know use a mixture of vinyl and CD's. Some mixes are only available on vinyl like white label records where a track has been pressed and it's not signed up to a distributor yet. CD's are definately easier for carrying around, I don't really think it matters as the mixing CD player...

Yorky, what a pathetic thing to say, it's people like you who cause all the accidents! Do you ever stop to think that if you come speeding up behind someone, flashing that you're actually freaking the person out in front of you, they try desperately to get out of the way and nearly end up causing an...

I don't think Camel Spiders are enough to put someone from Australia off, seeing as they have 8 of the worlds most dangerous and poisonous species in their country. It's true what DXBSoul says that the shine can come off Dubai after a while. Mainly because many people are superficial because it's su...

Yeah another good trick is if you have a few mates with 4x4's go out in convoy and when you get an idiot, box him in on all sides, it totally freaks them out! Done that a few times and when they realise what's going on they totally freak.

Well having looked at the website, it doesn't impress to be honest and some things don't exactly fill with confidence. As a rule no agency would get a model to pay for anything - that's industry standard - if she/he is good enough the agency should cover all costs. Sure you can pay to get a portfoli...

Don't forget you have the Ibn Battutta mall just down the road. Forget using the bus though it's a nightmare and they never run to schedule and are always packed. Have to say that area is somewhat of a building site at the moment, have you noticed how close the new flyover goes to the ski slope? tot...

HEy Guys, This topic brings to mind the 3 culture kids as they call it, where so many people now have a father of one nationality, mother of another and they've been brought in a country of neither, so how confusing is that going to be. I know so many people like this now, but they all seem to find ...

Hahahahaha Nice one!

Yeah I believe in true love, I think there is someone for everyone. But finding that person is another matter.

As the old saying goes 'It's better to have loved and to have lost, than never to have loved al all!'

Wow, cool!

I think it's a good thing.

So question, where do you guys consider your 'roots' to be and do you embrace the different parts?

I'm interested to hear your thoughts and how you deal with things.

Also in recent years, many restaurants have blacked out their windows and do open during the day for people not fasting to go and eat. We have a room put aside and blacked out for non muslims to eat lunch etc. Yes people should be respectful during Ramadan, but on the flip side many of my Muslim fri...

You're not wrong! What's going to happen in countries like China, where they're only allowed 1 baby per family and the preference is for boys and many baby girls are abandoned or killed? Males already outnumber females so in a few years time, they will be forced to marry women from other nationaliti...

And why ARN in particular? Radio 1 are the dance and R&B station! Plus I assume when someone says they're a DJ (Disc Jockey) it means they play clubs. (it's not a radio term anymore). Please don't confuse with radio PRESENTERS, as more often than not (no offense) but many clubs guys are no good ...

Absolutely!

The main drain on peoples income is the rent, but seeing as your company is providing you with accomodation you're well away.

Well the embassy should be able to do most of the work for you, they send a photocopy to the university to be authenticated and stamped. Then you take that to the ministry here and they attest it and stamp it to say it's all OK, the whole process shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks.

No I think Yorky is trying to say that the UK is a Christian country, so people should respect that - correct me if I'm wrong. For example last Ramadan a tixa driver asked where I was from, and he asked if the UK would follow Ramadan timings, fasting etc, to which I replied of course not as it's not...

Surprised no one has put this in here, but anyone go to Tiesto?

Sander was awsome and Tiesto played a good set, not quite as uplifting as I'd like but still had me jumping around for 2 hours non-stop.

Workers protest bringing Shk Zayed road to a halt!

Need news section for this! This morning outside the Hard Rock cafe interchange 5, one thousand wokers sat down by the side of the road to apparently protest against lack of pay and living problems. The began to walk down the road causing traffic chaos from about 7am. Eventually they were all put on...

I see this guy hasn't bothered to reply! And one of the girls on his site is definately not with his agency, how stupid can you be to lift the pictures from another site, particularly that of a big well known agency and stick all the details on your own. Did he seriously think someone wouldn't notice?
