By a hotel pool yes. But not on a public beach. If people want to be pretty much naked on the beach then they should head to the nudist beaches of the South of France, not come to Dubai. Even I find it offensive.

IMJ, I didn't mean that at all. I was simply stating that the girls who wear overly revealing swim wear to a public beach would likely then whinge about being stared at. I didn't mean YOU. Like I said there's nothing wrong with thongs, but in the right place and the public beach is not it. Plus if g...

Shaf, I agree with you which is why wheneve possible I look for free range products. You don't have to tell me about battery farming, when my parents took over a small holding in the UK, it had battery chickens! Needless to say we shut it down as it was horrific. Upto 6 chickens in a cage with artif...

Makes no difference Liban and is not hypocrisy. I do my bit! But what I'm saying is these things are an unnecessary cruelty. I used to be a vegetarian and would gladly be again. I don't willingly eat things I know to cause cruelty, that's the difference. You don't HAVE to eat Fois Gras, you don't HA...

Shame on you guys. Liban, let me put this in a way that you'll understand: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was reading from the Qur’an, when a sick cat walked up to him & sat down on the hem of his robe and went to sleep. Prophet (PBUH) did not move from his place.....and when prayer time a...

For health reasons Liban, which by the way are none of your business. But at least what I do eat I know is causing no harm or the best I can do. At least I don't knowingly or willingly eat something which I know for a fact is the result of weeks or months of cruelty and suffering for an animal - the...

Actually someone quoted it in another forum, who happens to be very knowledgeable. So maybe you don't know everything there is to know about the topic.

But the point is still the same what these guys did was totally stupid.

Well at least we agree on something.

And Liban you missed the point of the story, who cares if the guy could read or not, the point was the cat wasn't hurt or disturbed - geez.

Liban, Go back and read my previous post - my parents used to own a battery chicken farm. I'm a country girl I grew up on a smnall holding and next to a large farm, I've experienced everything there is when it comes to farming animals and slaughtering them. In light of that fact I should be more har...

But you still miss my point completely, which is, if you knowingly eat something which you knowingly is produced through cruelty, then you contribute directly to that cruelty, therefore you're part of the problem, instead of part of the solution.

No-one has to eat this stuff.

Liban, You obviously don't truly know what happens then! And belive it or not there are people who might know a bit more about it than you. Shaf, I don't agree with the stunning method, but the bolt method is finite and death is instant. You'd have to do alot more convincing to prove to me that the ...

Well I do think that they could have covered the roof of the ski slope with solar panels to help provide the energy for the cooling, it's gotta be costing a fortune to freeze the thing.

Double yolked eggs are produced by young hens who've only just started producing eggs. It happens because their bodies are adjusting to this new thing that it has to do, basically the yolk passes through the chicken and the shell forms around it. But in an immature hen it can produce the yolks quick...

Shaf, I hear what you're saying. But a few years ago the Farm Animal Welfare Council (FAWC) in the UK called for a ban on the Halal and Kosher methods of slaughter on the advice and evidence of vets that it caused unnecessary suffering. Plus because sometimes it's carried out in a ritual method and ...

It's already been taken note of, some papers outside the UAE have written scathing reports on the place and the way it treats people. Attitudes are changing towards the place and if they don't watch it, it'll end up getting a bad rep.

Love seafood it's my favourite thing. I'd quite happily eat nothing but fish and veggies.

Having said that I've got a craving for a good old jacket spud with cheese and beans - mmmmmm!

Google, ski dubai FeiPo and all the info is there.

The discovery lesson as they call it, which is the trial session is 90Dhs for an hour in a group of upto 10. Very good value if you ask me. The proper lessons are about 130Dhs for an hour which are still very good.

Very true Kanelli, have you noticed that it all tastes alot better as well. FeiPo I know it's very hard to economise and eat good stuff, why is it always more expensive to eat healthily, I sometimes really think that we're penalised for that. Junk food is cheap to produce and cheap to buy, have you ...

Actually I think many women these days prefer an honest opinion. After all what kind of boyfriend or friend would you be if you weren't honest in telling someone that what they're wearing doesn't suit them.

There's a big difference. Some suffer more than others. There's a difference to having lived at least some sort of free life, as opposed to never having been free, stuff in crates and force fed.
