I don't think there is a cheap option and they've just changed the rules for certain countries. You need to call immigration and find out what to do.

I would say the IT market here is saturated! Employers can pick and choose who they want and pay peanuts because there are so many people working and searching for jobs in this sector. My advice to you would be to find a speciality.

Some things just aren't meant to be. Chalk it up to having a nice time and move on. Plus 'Nice guy' and 'Dubai' don't really go together, he could bery well be one of the 'Summer Bachelors' having some fun while the wife and children are away for the holidays.
