Re: What's Up With Some People

Shamoosa , I'm sorry but you are talking utter rubbish! Women wearing skimpy clothes does NOT give men an excuse to rape them, nor does it turn men into peadophiles! These people are mentally sick in the first place. That kind of attitude absolves people from being responsible for their own actions...

I don't know, but it might be work just rocking up to one of their open days. Have you checked that you fulfill all the relevant criteria?

Re: What's Up With Some People

You have a funny way of expressing that! Many of your views, quite frankly are anti-feminist and put women's rights back by decades!

No cure for this kind of stupid!

What kind of parent, leaves their child unattended in a car with its engine running!

Thank goodness the child was unharmed.

Re: Visit Visa Expire.

So wait, you're already on a sponsorship visa? Or a visit visa? You don't make much sense. The company as benwj says are completely inept, it does not take this long to issue a residence and working visa. I would seriously reconsider working for this company as it sounds like they're messing you abo...

I seriously doubt it, given that you've incurred no personal costs during these trips. It really depends what is in your labour contract.

Re: Apartment Where They Allow Big Dogs.

Many buildings do not allow dogs. You need written permission from your Landlord to state that he allows you to have a dog in your apartment, however, if the building regulations are such that animals are not allowedm there's not much you can do about it.

Re: End Of Service Benefits Advice

Yeah they don't go for that here. It'll be, well that's part of your job. Plus given that many people working here don't see their families for YEARS, I don't think you really have an argument there.

Re: DEWA Now Require Title Deeds For Connection

Yup! The LL is still going to have to produce the title deeds to register it in his name. Stupid, he might as well just send you a copy, that's what ours did.

Re: DEWA Now Require Title Deeds For Connection

What's the cost of obtaining title deeds these days? Something like 5% of the purchase price of the property, and people wonder why LL's haven't done it. It;s going to take time, if I were you, I'd be walking away from this.

Re: Kids Visa Issue

Dubai immigration saying that, makes no sense at all. As they are on DUbai visas, to cancel them, they would have to be cancelled through Dubai immigration RAK cannot do that. UNLESS they're talking about 'transferring' the visas from you to your ex-wife. Either way, yes, you will have to write an N...

Re: Paralyzed UK Man Dies After Losing Assisted-suicide Case

I'm going to chime in here and say that I think people should be able to decide if they've had enough suffering and to end their life. I know I certainly wouldn't want to be a burden on family/friends etc if I was in a situation where I was incapable of looking after myself and constantly suffering....

Re: Kids Visa Issue

I think it'll be up to you whether you cancel their visas, then give their passports and papaerwork to your ex-wife for her to then apply for their RAK visas, or whether you can do a transfer - the latter might be better if they can do it. Obviously this is a tad tricky as you don't want her new par...

Re: Are Dubai's Property Boom Days Back?

Ah yes the infamous 'fipping' that caused all the issues last time. Don't they have new rules now though, that you have to have paid a certain % before you can sell an off-plan or any property?

Re: VISA Cancellation Without 1 Month Notice

probably not. The rules changed recently and stated that a person must complete at least 2 years with a company, before they can change job or company without incurring fines or bans.
