Emaar doing a Nakheel and withholding services

So now Emaar are at it. Sending round notices that they will start withdrawing services due to unpaid service fees by certain Landlords. They say they're going to start with rubbish collection. I thought the municipality dealt with that?

I think punishing tenants for landlords failings is unfair.

Re: Emaar Doing A Nakheel And Withholding Services

Frequentflier , What are you talking about? Do you even understand the subject matter? Judging by your reply, clearly not! The majority of LL's ARE EXPATS!!! For those that DO understand. There are name and shame boards up for all they do. I think perspective tenants must make sure their LL ...

Re: Want To Resign, Employer Playing Dirty, Threatening Cour

dsg , if he's in his probation he doesn't have to give 1 months notice! That's the entire point of the probation period.

Re: Emaar Doing A Nakheel And Withholding Services

kanelli , There should be a way for tenants to enquire. It doesn't exist, but should do. Emaar would probably tell you if they were called. We recently needed something done and they said they couldn't help as our LL hadn't paid, we got straight onto him, he paid up and all sorted.

Re: Emaar Doing A Nakheel And Withholding Services

drewpeacock , But the only people suffering are the tenants and to withdraw garbage collecting services will turn the area into something horrible with vermin etc all over the place. Surely there must be other routes to take up issues with Emaar than making the tenants suffer the consequences.

Re: Emaar Doing A Nakheel And Withholding Services

BlackburnRovers , Then why don't they just make it like a council tax and add it to DEWA bills, it gets paid monthly by the tenant, who takes the total cost out of the yearly rent. Or is that too much of a logical solution.

Re: Visa Issues

prettymheeia , DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT! Give your personal info out like that to ANYONE let alone some stranger on an internet forum! IYu'll leav yourself open to identity theft. You can simply go to the Ministry of Labour website and check your visa status online there with your labour card number...

Re: Visa Issues

dsg , Yes you can check online! I've done it! Stop giving incorrect information! It's clear all your doing is touting for business, yet you use a 'personal' email. Re: Emaar doing a Nakheel and withholding services

Urgh we got a dreaded letter this morning which I promptly scanned and emailed to our landlord. He says he's been trying for ages to contact Emaar and pay and they keep trying to make him go in person - he's not resident in the UAE.

Very frustrating.

So therefore she can check online through the MOL eservices portal. or you know pick up the phone call them and ASK! It's really not difficult! Even if you don't have your labour card number...

Re: Visa Issues

Regardless she can still get the relevant info just by calling and confirming a few details. If a person wants to get someone else to do the work for them, then fine. But it's pretty easy to do it yourself if you have the necessary know-how. It's really not that difficult. How do we know you run a r...

Re: I Need Some Advice On A Psychiatric Case!!!!

Try the Dubai Community Health Centre, they have a really good set of therapists and psychiatrists. She's kind of acting out like a teenager would when they're peed off at their parents. Could be hormonal or a mental imbalance, but definitely sounds like you need to take her to see someone.

prettymheeia , Just call the helpline number and speak to someone! They can also give you your code number once they verify who you are. Always the best bet is to just pick up the phone and speak to someone! They're very helpful and nice at the MOL so you won't have any issues. --- Sat Jul 14, 2012...

Re: Women Must Now Exit The UAE To Transfer Visa

Nucleus, It doesn't make any sense at all. Just more hard work and extra cost for people. Seriously with all the new rules coming in for renewing visas etc the UAE is starting to be put in the 'too hard to do' bin for many.

I agree with BB, why did he not follow up and get his visa cancelled? He will require all the paperwork as has been suggested above. If a case is filed and has been processed it cannot be withdrawn, but must be settled.
