I think I pack OK but other people think I pack too much.

I have one large suitcase that I usually fill up no matter the length of stay. I like variety and don't plan out what I wear, so I prefer it this way.

1. Toothbrush
2. Deodorant and Cologne
3. Brush
4. Hair Wax
5. Underwear (one for each day)
6. multiple pairs of socks

...and it seems more common these days...

True, however age is a different matter. You can't judge someone's experience because of their age and you shouldn't rule out older people either. Age is still very important because a person needs to 'fit in' with his/her colleagues. An office full of 20 - 30 somethings isn't going to want or work...
