Perhaps there's more to this than simply owing a shopkeeper money? If not, don't sweat it. If they do for some reason detain you when you arrive, simply paying the arrears will see you fine.

Don't you know anyone who can go to those stores and pay those amounts for you and find out if those people have reported this to the police? I really think it is outrageous to pay 800$ to avoid 300 Dh. This is not the first time project3030 has posted regarding this, it was even offered by some me...
