Infinitive / Dictionary Verbs Feb 22, 2009
I have a little Arabic dictionary. In it, verbs are given like this:

to go => yadh-hab

while on a website, madinaharabic . com, its like:

to go => dhahaba

Both are conjugated with the third person "He" but the former is in present tense while the latter is in past tense. Which should I follow? On a website, I read, in Arabic, verbs are given their dictionary form by conjugating them to a third person, "He", in PAST tense. In our Islamiat book, the meaning of Qara'a is given "He read". So which is the correct one?

Note: I still have to purchase a proper dictionary.

OK, thanks, I forgot to mention that my little dictionary has mentioned its tense in the beginning. No problem.
