Sign Language is one of the most important but oft-neglected of languages. Applications include the essential ability to communicate with the deaf and hearing impaired and also to converse in environments where sound cannot be transmitted such as while underwater diving, at concerts, at noisy industrial sites etc.
The ‘Introduction to Signing’ course will introduce basic words, phrases, and expressions of American Sign Language (ASL) using a simple, step-by-step approach. In this course you will learn everything you need to begin using sign language in practical, everyday situations from talking about family, to planning a party, to shopping at the mall.
Details about the Sign Language Course:
- 14 February – 18 March 2010
- Thrice a week, Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays
- 12:00 – 2:00pm (or) 5:00 – 7:00pm
- AED 1350 for 30 hours, AED 100 registration fee, AED 50 for material
This visually based course has been launched as part of Eton Institute’s recent Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to raise awareness for the deaf and the hearing impaired community. In line with our CSR policy, a part of the proceeds from will be donated to the cause.
