TERMINATION UNDER ARTICLE 120 OF FEDERAL LABOR LAW Aug 08, 2015
Hi, I have an Unlimited Employment Contract and completed one year with the current employer. They terminated me stating Article 120. Their claim is that they found from my laptop some emails, statements, etc. showing that I am working with my previous employer(they mention that I am the owner of that business, whereas it is in the name of a local gentleman). They searched the whole transactions I did to find whether I did any financial loss to the company and did any financial irregularities while selling the properties of the company(I was Head of Sales) and did not find anything. They forced me to sign a statement made by them, accepting that I was working as the Managing Director of another company, while working with current employer. They said, if I sign this paper, they will cancel my visa and give my passport (they are keeping my passport since termination). Though they were supposed to give me incentives for the sales I did worth around AED 300 million, they did not give any incentive till now and the salary of last month, one month leave salary and family flight ticket are not given till now. They terminated me 15 days before. Please suggest what should I do. How to avoid any civil/criminal action by them. I have not done anything wrong to the company and not made any illegal money from the properties of the company.
