I have been offered a job in UAE (Ajman) and my company requested that I have my degree certificates attested by the UAE Embassy. However my situation is a bit complex, I am a US citizen currently residing in Singapore. My educational degrees have been issued by US Universities. When I contacted the UAE embassy in Singapore they mentioned that they only attest degrees issued in Singapore.

What are the options in having my certificates attested without going to USA. Appreciate any guidance.

Yes they will have to be attested by the UAE embassy in the US. Here in the UAE there are many companies that do all this leg work for you. You give them the certificates, pay them, in a couple of weeks it's all done.

I used a company called Index, they have two outlets in Dubai as far as I know, they sent all my docs to the UK to be notorised and attested, then also did the attestation in the UAE as well.

You can come here to U.A.E to join your new employer on visit visa and complete your attestation work while on visit visa. You don't need any visa to enter U.A.E. you will get on arrival 30 days visa which can be exteded 30 more days without sponsor. After that you can change your visa status to employment without exiting the country.

you can get your certificate get attested in ministry of foreign affairs in burj dubai, it is 150 dirhams
