I used to promote drag racing in the UK at Santa Pod Raceway! Also represented the European Pro Comp champion, Steve Read, who is now racing Top Fuel in Aussie...

Knew a load of the Brit and Euro drag bike boys and had to give them respect. When you see someone like Phil Brachtvogel launching a nitro methane burning twin V2 80 cubic inch monster down the quarter mile all squiffy and hanging on for dear life with 4 flaming exhaust pipes giving it loud right behind his harse...and running a 6.0! Its kinda scary!

Also respected the everyday guys who would ride their road machines to the meet, strip off the non essentials, turn on the NO2 and go for it.

it would take my Indian putt putt machine about half an hour to get down the quarter mile!

Might come and lend moral support.

Cool,i went to Santa Pod a few times but only as a spectator,raced up at Crail but only for fun.

Tonight is an open night down at Yas,i think my Son is running a ZX6, his boss will be on a ZX10 and the workshop manager on a ZX14,i will not be there as i am still out of the country, which is bloody annoying as i fancied my self against the 14.
