ok guys just one q here:and this might sound crap but i am just confused !
a marriage proposal that comes after few more than 2 months of relationship (even if i know him for almost 1 y) can it be a seriouse one? he really is a great man and i think so far the only one that was worth loving but today he almost made me faint---> he calls me every day 3 or 4 times and 30 minutes ago in the end of conversation he saied he wants to marry me...and my "intelligent" reply was "WHY??????? .he started to laugh and he told me that he never thought of marriage until now cause so far he never found a woman that he can't live without! there was something about his voice that made him sound so adorable...but i guess my attitude was not what he expected he saied : if i scared u, just don't runa way from me and from our relationship, just give it some thought and time and u will get to the same conclusion that the best thing for us is to be together, he was to cool about it and i was just like scared mouse ( like i was not expecting all that marriage stuff)
i don't know what to think about all this and i guess any other opinion from u ppl would be more objective than mine.

other than all obvious reasons this is a cultural issue too.

If a guy comes from a culture where arranged marriages are the norm. Knowing a girl for two months and then asking her to marry him is a big thing. Now this might seem a little early for someone who comes from a culture where its the norm to date for many years before getting married.

Anyway if your first impulse was "WHY???" when he asked you, then its probably too soon regardless of what the reasons are

Marriage is a big step, time to use your head (but not too much) or else you'll just forget about the WHOLE IDEA

the WHY was because i was not expecting it, he never saied a word about marriage until now...so i was more like WHy NOw?
he called me again, just to chek if i got over the shock and to tell me once agains that is was not a joke anyway i will think of it and maybe "negotiate"an engagement long enough to figure out if i am ready or not!

guess thats right, try and look deep inside, look back at the days you spent with him, how it all started, is it all just what you wanted...etcetcetc, don't let it slip away

but there is no other way to do it cause he is miles away from me now, and anyway i am not into all that romantic stuff with ring and flowers etc!
he saied he was planing to do it in august when we will go on hollyday, but he wanted to see my reaction...oops

I believe if you know each other for only 1 yr and as you said you're far away from each other it's very early to even consider marriage. Things wont get better if you marry so why not wait. It's a good sign that he asked though, he is definately in love with you or else he wouldn't even think abt that yet.

well i do agree with u and this is why i saied i want first the engagement even if long distance relationships r such a pain in the as$ sometimes...to built up something stronger before marriage, cause i do believe that marriage is for a lifetime...so i don't wanna rush into something i am not ready for..yet, but u know , it was so nice to hear all that from him, made me feel that i am special& made me realise that he is the one for me, but i don't wanna burn phases in our relationship, i wanna take it as it comes and if in the end this will lead to marriage that it's great
