An interesting discussion on Democracy Now which explores whether the Occupying Military power in Palestine is correct to claim that the illegal colonies (under international law) are actually legal.

An Israeli government committee has affirmed the country’s self-proclaimed right to build settlements throughout the occupied West Bank and recommended the legalization of dozens of settler outposts that have not received government authorization. The International Court of Justice has already ruled that all of Israel’s West Bank settlements are illegal, but Israel has said it would only consider dismantling scattered outposts that it has not officially approved. The settlers have used the outposts to seize even more Palestinian land than has already been taken. We host a debate between Jonathan Tobin, senior online editor of Commentary magazine, and Ali Abunimah, co-founder of The Electronic Intifada.

The facts are clear. No need for fiction. ;)

I think there is a point to be made in the article but somehow I don't think the author in the OP will understand how to apply it uniformly.

(btw, I'll hazard a guess that if the Israeli court had come to the opposite ruling, our resident troll would have posted a thread about that ruling. hence the point of one member imitating this other poster's line of reasoning; but, of course, this other member isn't very bright and doesn't pick up when he's being mocked)

I could have added, 'no need to selectively quote without links from another thread' too. ;)

I guess the thread title applies to this forum too. :D

But I am still amazed that someone who claims to be Christian, does not support the Palestinian Christians who the victims of the Israeli military occupation.

The ruling in the first post is irrelevant and nonbinding. Israeli settlements are legal according to international law.
