Warning - Epistemological Discourse Ahead
Ok, Lets try to analyze all this human cry about apparent darconian laws that are derived from scripture.
To do that (and trying very hard not to delve into history which I am not familiar with, do call me out if I have done so), Let us look into the history of the various modern systems that have come into being.
Lets start with the modern democratic system - It has its roots from ancient greece http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_ancient_Greece , The greeks were a society steeped in religion ( with their pantheon of gods) - Important point I am trying to make here is that The Democratic System of the Greeks was steeped in religion (regardless of the fact whether they had scripture or not), All modern democratic systems are rooted in greek philsophy.
Case in point - Democratic system of government has its root in the theistic philosophy of the greeks. If they were atheistic , the concept of "democracy could not come into existence"
Lets look the modern legislative system (Habeous Corpeus), From times immemorial legislation has been derived from religions (pagan, occult or otherwise), That are the roots from which all modern day (inclusive of the last millenia) legislative systems have risen.
Case in point - Habeous Corpus derives its principles from religion (whichever one is regardless), Hence the scripture was always the source of the "laws"
Therefore, if theology never existed,
Human population would have NO LAWS,
There would be anarchy and chaos.
The modern day world is plagued with a myriad of social problems that didnt exist in the past,
The burning question... is then... WHY ?
