Re: US Starting To Sell Out

PC can be taken too far - and I'm with those who say that these kinds of reports of changes to names of Easter Eggs are silly and unnecessary. In this case given that many people believe Easter is named after the pagan goddess of fertility Eostre and that Easter Eggs are a hang over from pagan festivals of fertility/represenations of spring time festivals - renaming Easter eggs for PC purposes is particularly silly.
However, we should be careful about the Daily Mail reports - the reports of Christmas being cancelled and other scare stories have in the past been exagerations and not reflective of reality. Most schools, councils etc are actually quite sensible and all communities do enjoy Christmas etc.
Like Memri reports - it is best to get independent confirmation of these types of reports and establish the full context before taking all that is reported as the whole truth.
