I was reading an article on a 'conservative' blog about a small, privately owned salon store in the UK that allegedly discriminated against gays by refusing their business.
The author wanted the store boycotted out of business. My remark was asking how it better for a store not to serve gays out than in business. Either way, gays wouldn't be served at the store, so why would anyone want the store out of business or to force small business owners what to do with their own store?
The 'logic' seemed as illogical to me as pro-abortionists opposed to gender selective abortion. You either support abortion on the mantra of 'choice' or you don't.
Likewise, I fail to see how putting a privately owned store out of business is going to help gays. I suppose this is a reminder why I believe many modern liberal beliefs are inherently illogical.
