The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia (sounds like a prestigious title) has called for all churches in the Arabian peninsula destroyed.

His comments come after Kuwaiti legislators have said they would like to see a ban on the construction of non-Muslim houses of worship in their country.

The Saudi Grand Mufti justified his bigotry on a saying of his prophet, Muhammad:

Let there be no two religions in Arabia.

Of course, and as you might expect, there was a huge backlash over the Grand Mufti's calls for the destruction of all churches in the Arabian peninsula in the Muslim world.

So, I gladly join the following Muslim individuals, nations and organizations who have rightfully condemned the Grand Mufti's call:

And they say Muslims aren't doing enough against intolerance in their midst!

As you can see, the outrage in the Muslim world was overwhelming.

If Muslims are intolerant of one thing, it's intolerance.

I pre-empted him from posting this story.



Otherwise, and you can be sure of it, shafique would have highlighted and condemned this story of intolerance by a high ranking Muslim religious official.



We all know from shafique's posting history that he is the first to publish these types of stories in the Muslim world.



It only makes sense, after all, that a (self-proclaimed) Muslim would sweep off his own porch before he criticizes anyone else for a messy frontstep.

I'm surprised by the amount of backlash the Grand Mufti's statement received .....
