It seems that Justice isn't the only thing blind!!! Congress still choses to remain in the dark.

Opening to article:

The man who explicitly said he would do his level best to destroy the Oslo Accords suddenly says he's in favor of peace with the Palestinians.

It was an address with no destination, filled with lies on top of lies and illusions heaped on illusions. Only rarely is a foreign head of state invited to speak before Congress. It's unlikely that any other has attempted to sell them such a pile of propaganda and prevarication, such hypocrisy and sanctimony as Benjamin Netanyahu did yesterday.

He has illusions while he tells the US (Obama) it's delusional.

What was even worse was the standing ovation after standing ovation he got from congress. 29 in total I read somewhere.

Apprently the spin still is strong with the US congress. With so much support from the congress its hard to imagine Obama can actually do anything in this regards. Yahoo seems to be more popular with them than Obama.

I noticed that, it was embarrassing to watch, he was applauded after just about every Sentence.

In contrast, during Obama’s speech to the joint houses of parliament in Westminster Hall yesterday, he was only applauded once during his 40 Minute address and that was when he mentioned that as the Grandson of a Kenyan cook who worked for the Royal Navy he stood this day as President of the US, I also found that a little bizarre to be honest.

He was well received though, and was certainly the better orator with the support of his teleprompter although there were far too many intentional pauses where the authors were obviously expecting responses from the audience that were not forthcoming.

They certainly seemed to like Mr Netanyahu.

Rhodes' remarks echoed the demands laid out by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to Washington. It cannot be ignored that the White House appeared to change its tune after Netanyahu addressed the US Congress and won wall-to-wall support from American lawmakers for Israel's positions.

What a nice man that Mr Obama seems, there was lots of back slapping yesterday at the Barbie at No10! He was dishing out the burgers in his collar and tie, along with Dave and Michelle was in charge of the salad.
They all looked like special and essential friends.
He's as good an actor as Ronald Reagan was.

Well everyone in Congress better applaude if they want to keep their seats. I'm sure there is a certain level of concern that failure to show support will result in being displaced at the next vote. I wonder how many wishes will be granted for that show of support? What you see in public doesn't necessarily transfer into the private arena.

As to Obama's address to parliament - the British are much more reserved and not big on public display. I'm sure there is alot of backslapping and kissing (up/arse) in private. :lol:

))I even had tweets fr Americans which said We could save lots of money if we replaced Congress with AIPAC. It's all about campaign donations and votes. Votes being the more valuable, especially if your district has a large jewish community.

I've got an Israeli stamp in my passport Bora! Do you know the only time I've had a problem? It was at JFK! They pulled me to one side, they didn't seem to like all the stamps I had from Dubai. All that arabic writing seemed to cause them some dismay :shock:

I decided to get egate. That way I won't have a problem anywhere else LOL

Do you know? Israel is a beautiful country. I would love to go back, I just loved Jerusalem, all that history. Everywhere you looked, it was history. All those places I've read about in the bible, just amazing. I went to the Church of The Nativity, it really touched a spot, to think I was looking at the place where they say Jesus was born! Wow, it's no wonder the Jews hold it so close.
The Israelis are lovely people.

Oh, BM............highly unlikely that the Jews hold the Church of The Nativity close to them seeing as how they don't acknowledge or believe in Jesus. The name "Jesus" won't even cross their lips!!!

I wouldn't go so far as to say "Israelis are lovely people". That's like to saying "Muslims are bad people".

There are two sides to every coin.

Mr BB did work for a religious Israeli-American when he first arrived in the States. The man owned a kosher catering hall where they had bar mitzvahs and bra mitzvahs (very religious ceremony). He really liked Mr BB but couldn't understand why he wouldn't share a pepperoni pizza, that he ordered from an Italian pizza parlor (pork pepperoni, they wouldn't dream of putting that plastic stuff called turkey pepperoni on a pizza!!!!), with him. :lol:

Apparently the pepperoni pizza was a favorite of his. :shock:

From a dude I know in NY whose dad was a commerical pilot flying out to all over the middle east, even flying out pilgrims to Saudi.

He flew into many countries that supposedly hated the US. He found for the most part that if if you just went in and did your job professionally there wasn't a problem. Most very even nice and hospitable.

Except for one country that supposedly didn't hate America's guts. Israel. He flew into Ben Gurion airport and right off the bat they had the needed to put the Americans in their place and remind them repeatedly where they were. The ball busting got to be be such pain in the ass that the airline didn't want to pick up the contract.

Yes, you are right, you can't say all the Isrealis are nice, but generally speaking they are kind people. Very big on famiky, friends and community. I like them on the whole.

The Israelis are lovely people.

I am in Israel now and loving it again. Its extremely rare that a place agrees with me, but Israel does. I think Israeli's are in general impolite and have no manners in day-to-day life. What I do appreciate a lot is that they always invite me at their places for dinner, shabbat or holidays. They are proud of their history and culture and want to show others without pushing their views. They are warm blooded people, in the good way and bad way.
