However, he seems to be in a little bit of hot water over an interview in his film Bruno where he brands a Palestinian 'shopkeeper' as a 'Terrorist'. He repeats this description in promotional videos and the guy is now suing him (using lawyers from Tel Aviv).
Interestingly, the guy is Christian Palestinian - which makes the references to Bin Laden and al-Qaeda all the more inappropriate.
It is not often that it's appropriate to quote IMDB here - so it was an opportunity to be passed up:
Ayman Abu Aita, the man depicted as a terrorist, has expressed his intent to sue Cohen for depicting him as a terrorist falsely, lying to him about the interview telling him he's interested in the Palestinian cause while he's a Christian charity worker who spent eight years in Israeli jails.
