We believe in an integrated and free world – in a world without artificial barriers. Therefore we want to serve the wants and needs for more integration and freedom for both, travellers and touristic services.
The key lies in the combination and evaluation of touristic products on the one hand and social- and commercial usage behaviour on the other. Products are then tailored to the customer, through the use of artificial intelligence, i.e. algorithms. All touristic offers on a single website, an innovative dashboard to plan every day of your trip, public travel diaries for travel inspiration, tailored offers through social- and artificial intelligence – all on a single webpage.

… democratises travels. Travel itineraries contain intelligent and authentic feedback from customers and can be shared on Facebook. This allows us to offer itineraries that were created, altered and rated democratically by the customer base.
…provides the opportunity to plan complete itineraries with more than just one person. Travel mates can be included into the planning- and booking process in order to modify, share and purchase itineraries fast and uncomplicated.
… socializes travelling. Collectively arranged itineraries serve as a shared travel-diary at the same time. Users who travel or use services in the same destination at the same time, can get in contact after unblocking the information. Photos and videos can easily be uploaded via the multifunctional dashboard and can be shared on Qaribu as well as on other social networking sites.
… saves itineraries. Prices for travel plans that are booked frequently or holidays that are being considered will be updated after every log-in. From this information, the ideal time of purchase can be estimated. Important documents, Tickets and relating material can be saved in a secured area.
…rewards. Affiliate programs enable users to load published travel itineraries with a click from partner websites, blogs, etc. The itineraries stay dynamic and can be modified after being redirected to Qaribu.
That, in a nutshell, is Qaribu – the first social Online Travel Agency.
By now we have created a marketable product, which is just waiting to be launched. Our direct access to the Sabre travel network gives us the opportunity to provide “more than 400 airlines, 93,000 hotels, 25 car rental brands” and more (Sabre). API-interfaces from Foursquare and Wikipedia provide Qaribu with all the required information regarding attractions and destinations.
We are a young team consisting of analysts, web designers, programmers and Tourism Management- and International Business soon-to-be-graduates. Since 13 months we are programming and designing Qaribu. In order to launch the website, we are looking for market savvy, prospective investors and business angels, who are willing to support us with their know-how and/or capital. Until now, the founders themselves and subsidies from an innovation fund financed the company, but feel ready to take up more capital and, with a little help, take the next step and launch the website.
