too dark?
i thought white was too starck ....

the black was too dark, but white isn't that great with the font colours you've chosen, also the font(s) you're using don't make it readable. the hand written style is okay but it needs to be more readable. maybe try an off white background as well?

My 2 fils, The art you have is pretty kewl though, good luck.

I have to say again that these comments have been really helpful!

I was a little concerned about the readability of the font....

I may try to re-work that tonight or tomorrow.

I will stick with the white for now.... BUT i think i may do a slightly darker, off white under the txt areas to make the contrast a little less....

Very cool , I like how the font looks but it's not so easy to read. Maybe use it for headings and navigation only (I did a similar thing with one of my sites after users said font was hard to read).
Personally I think text is better presented as text, not an image - but then you'd lose the bespoke font design. It also makes a difference with search engines if that's important to you.
I'd suggest you be consistent - use the same font in all pages - at least. Verdana and Tahoma are intended for websites and are easier to read than Times New Roman.
Navigation links at bottom of page would look better if separated.
Picture quality doesn't look good - especially since it's a design site. They look like they've been resized several times?
This page very slow to load. Not sure why, thumbs seem small enough (I didn't check all). Is there a large image on the page somewhere?
Personally, I really dislike splash/intro pages. I have yet to see one that adds usefulness to a website. But maybe that's just me ...
Is there a reason your image pages have the number selection reading L to R instead of R to L (I mean 4 3 2 1 instead of 1 2 3 4)? It doesn't make sense to me unless you're targetting an Arab audience - and then I'd expect your website to be in Arabic anyway.
