Extra Sim

Can I get an additional sim card with the same number on it?

I'm about to buy a new phone worth about 3000 dh and I don't want to take it out with me, only use it for work.

Therefore I want to have a phone for work and one for not-work but I want them to have the same number and I don't want to be swapping the sim all the time.

Can this be done?

No you had to use a clever redirection technique, was hoping not to have to do that here.

I think it should be. I'm from Muscat, Oman and over there the local company gives us another SIM if we want with the same number.

The only thing and I know you know this, is that you cannot have both the phones on at the same time.

if its possible in the neighbouring country of UAE, I don't see why it can't be possible here.

If its a pre-paid SIM, its not gonna be possible. PostPaid, I don't see why not

Yes it is possible to have an extra sim for the same number. This feature has been available with Etisalat for couple of years now.

Yes its possible.
When you put one phone off, the other sim immediately gets activated...
I looked on etisalat.ae, but couldnt find the feature.
Just call 101, and they'll tell you about it.

Or you can just go to your nearest etisalat office (I sound like an ad now) and they'll give it to you immediately.
The thing is, they give you two new sims (unless they changed it now) so make sure you backup all your contacts from your original sim, as this would become inactive automatically.

Let us know what the service is called & the cost.
Good luck! :)
