Hi,

I have reserved a room in a hotel in Dubai. Can I invite my friend (as a guest) to my room? Or we could meet up in lobby?

If your guest will not overnight in the room it will be fine but if you plan to stay for the night hotel will charge you for extra person. Female visitors are usually tolerated but ethically it is better to meet in the lobby.
