Just wondering are most units or villas for rental fully furnished or is that rare in Dubai ?

Most are not and most do not even include "white goods" (fridge, stove, washer, dryer, etc.). Only furnished apts come with that stuff.

Thats going to make things expensive when i get there to furnish a place including white goods !!

Then you should ask your enmployer for a relocation allowance to cover these expenses.

You'll find that most apartments will have white goods, and villas won't.
Look in the papers though, I've come across a few fully furnished places. It all depends on whethere you actually like the furnished style or not
