I have applied for a job in dubai(metal printing)-they have asked what my salary epectations are? I replied with do they provide a package(gas electric rent allowance plus wages etc) or just a all in salary and i sort the rest??? Is this a fair enough reply do you think? :?:

Yes. You need to word a nice reply asking them to provide you with an offer. As you are not resident in the country, it is very unfair for employers to do this as they must know that you would not have any idea about the living expenses one needs to live in Dubai.


I would suggest something along the lines of:

Dear...

After careful consideration and investigation into the cost of living in Dubai I am not able to provide you with an accurate or fair remuneration package, as you are aware I am not yet resident in the country and have no idea of what “cost-of-living” expenses I am going to incur.

In order to be as reasonable about this as possible would you please provide me with what the company would consider being fair-remuneration as the company must already have some kind of salary structure in place for similarly graded situations.
