Hi

I’m and ex Marine looking for work in Dubai. I'm a qualified High Rope Access level and trained Rigger. Obviously did the whole security commando thing too. Got an ex wife who is bleeding me dry so need to find a job that keep her and my son in the lifestyle they have become accustom, so any points in the right direction would be more than welcome.


If anyone out there can help, I would be in your debt.

Can't help you, but don't promise to be in anyone's debt, you have enough of a burden with the payments to the ex-wife. And if she has to take a step down in the lifestyle she has become accustomed to, so be it.

Not sure how qualified you are for training, consultancy etc but there are a lot of UK military types here either directly advising the UAE military or working as consultants for private defence companies.

We have half a dozen ex-UK army and navy guys working for my company as military consultants. Not the best to try there though, as they are laying off, but most of the guys got the job by hooking up with old military mates who were already working here.

You could try looking up some old colleagues on LinkedIn and see if they know anyone working over here.
