I've got a question in regards to renewing a lease for my apt. I signed a 1 year contract in June 2007 in JBR and was informed last night the landlord wants a 30K increase in rent. This morning I was told the contract can't be renewed and I would need to vacate the apartment, with only 4 days left on the contract.

what rights do i have?

Contact the rental committee as they can't do that.
