Moving to Dubai, need advice on neighborhoods Jul 13, 2006
I am planning to move to Dubai from the US and will be working in the Airport Free Zone. Can you give me suggestions on neighborhoods that are within a reasonable drive to the Airport Free Zone and close to the nightlife (restaurnats, bars and clubs) of Dubai. I will be looking for a 1 bedroom apartment and have a pretty generous housing allowance. Thanks in advance! Hope to see you soon!

You can live in Garhoud which is close to the airport and at the same time close to Irish Village/Century village which is a popular going out spot in Dubai. Anyway everything is pretty close to each other in Dubai. Another option would be Al Qusais which is even closer to the free zone, but its a more family oriented yet cheaper area to live in. Not much nightlife in the area though. Then again keep in mind if there is no traffic everything in Dubai is a 20 minutes car drive at the most !

Nick81 can tell you more about garhoud he lives there :)

Best of luck !
